How To Book With Us
1. We book new weddings daily so, date and time availability is subject to change. You can perform a Quick Hold in order to lock in a date and time for up to 7 days with a $250 refundable deposit. Once you are sure about your date and time, we require a 50% Deposit; that is applied towards your wedding package. You balance will be dure 7 days prior to your Wedding.
2. If you are ready to place a Quick-Hold or your 50% deposit to lock in your date and time, you can do that two ways. First you can book here on our website (see the “Book Online Now“ at the top oof this page or, you can call us at 480-217-8389 and we can gather all the details over the phone. Please do not book unless you have completed the “Check Your Date” option or, speak with a team member.
3. When you book we will ask you if you want to use the Church or Gazebo, your package choice, guest count, vows, add-ons, like a unity candle lighting or a Sand Ceremony, music, your wedding song and more. We’ll even Live-Stream your wedding at no additional charge. Upon booking, we block off the date and time so that no one else can reserve it with us or at the venue. We also get you in touch with our in-house photographer, if you wish to use her services. You pay her directly, not us for the photography services.
4. Once you book you will receive an invoice showing your deposit and balance, and our Simple Service Agreement, which we ask that you review, and electronically sign. And finally, you will receive our complete “What To Expect After Booking” guide which details all aspects of your Mission Chapel Wedding.
How To See The Venue
We are on the grounds of the Pioneer Living History Museum, also known as Pioneer Village. The address is: 3901 W Pioneer Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85086. Just enter the “Pioneer Living History Museum” on your GPS and it will take you straight to us. * Park Hours – Closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Wednesday-Sunday, 9:00am to 4:00pm.
The Chapel and the Gazebo, are part of the Historic Museum Tour – and are both historic buildings. As such, usually to view them, there is a $12 museum tour fee, Children 5-16 are $10, children under 5 are free. Call us to schedule a no-cost tour and meet with a Mission Chapel Team Member.
When you arrive, tell them that you are with The Mission Chapel and want to take a peek at the Chapel and or Gazebo or both. They will grant you access.
Please keep in mind, that we are not there unless we have a wedding, or are preparing for one and that the volunteers can not answer any questions about our services. Also, neither the Church or Gazebo is not decorated for weddings unless we are preparing or performing one, so please use your imagination or see pictures on this website or on our Facebook page.
What to Expect on Your Wedding Day at Pioneer Village
Pure Bliss, A Lifetime of Happiness
We block out a 3-Hour window for all Wedding Packages, (Shot gun excluded). This typically includes a 30 minute arrival windows for guests, 30 minutes waiting time while bride is preparing in the Bridal Suite, 15-30 minutes for the ceremony, 15 minutes for signing of the marriage license, and 30-60 minutes for group and individual pictures.
- EXAMPLE, SHOT GUN WEDDING First 20 Minutes – Ceremony
- Next 25 Minutes – Congratulations and Pictures with Friends and Family
- Last 15 Minutes – Bride & Groom Private Photos
Guests arrive 15 minutes before Ceremony Time, (Shot Gun Package), 30 Minutes before for the Intimate, Wild West and Ultimate Package.
Guests head to the Chapel or Gazebo, where they are greeted by the Groom. During this time, the Bride is in the Bridal Suite, in hiding, where she can change into gown, adjust hair, makeup, and preparing to walk down the aisle.
Immediately after the Ceremony, and signing of the marriage license, guests have an opportunity to congratulate the couple, and partake in friends & family group pictures with the new couple.
After the family and friends photos are complete, the guests are asked to leave to the after party location, with the remaining, the couple takes private one on one pictures with the photographer.
Bride should arrive 30-45 minutes before the ceremony, and head to the Bridal Suite. This allows for privacy from arriving guests, and a place to slip into your gown, and last minute makeup touchups. This is the area where the photographer will meet you to start taking some pictures. Your wedding coordinator or minister will also meet you here to go over last minute details.
During the time that the Bride is in the Bridal Suite, the Groom is at the Venue, greeting guests.
We ask that the ceremony get started on-time. The Bride arrives and walks down the aisle, with the first 20 Minutes or so is the wedding ceremony, immediately followed by signing of the marriage license, congratulations, family and friends photography for about 25-30 minutes, and finally private photos with the new couple for the remaining time.
Groom should arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony, and head to the Chapel or Gazebo where he will be greeted by the Officiant or Minister. The Groom will greet guests as they arrive, and thank them for coming.
During the time that the Groom is greeting guests, the Bride is in the main building preparing for walking down the aisle.
We ask that we get started on-time, and the first 20 Minutes or so is the wedding ceremony, immediately followed by signing of the marriage license, congratulations, family and friends photography for about 25 minutes, and finally private photos with the new couple for the remaining time.
Often, the Mother of the Bride, Maid of Honor, Bridesmaids, Flower Girls, and in some cases, the Brides Father, will meet and stay with the bride in the Bridal Suite .
Best Man, Groomsmen, Ring Bearers, will stay with the Groom at all times at the Chapel or Gazebo.
The Mission Chapel Coordinator or Minister will meet and coordinate the wedding party and precession.
Please note that most weddings, do not have a formal precession, most of the time, the bride either walks alone, or is escorted by her father, or another important figure in her life.
There is no right or wrong, we are here to accomodate you, whatever your wishes may be. Most of all, we want this to be stress free and memorable.
